Hello, my name is Courtney Eu. Welcome to my portfolio 👋
I am a graphic designer based in New York City. My work focuses on developing clear visual solutions that create meaningful connections between brands and people.
I am a graduate of the Shillington School of Graphic Design in New York. Before Shillington, I studied Sociology and Creative Writing at Bryn Mawr College, graduating with honors in 2019. I hope to apply my technical skills with my interest in human-centric stories, societal structures, and social systems in my design work.
My main interests include branding, digital content, print and packaging production, and interactive web design. I have a strong understanding of design theory, including design principles (balance, hierarchy, contract), design thinking (research, testing, and problem-solving), and design fundamentals (typography and typesetting, grids, color theory). In addition, I have expert knowledge of Adobe software, including Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I am also highly proficient in Figma and Sketch, giving me a well-rounded toolkit to bring my ideas to life.
When I am not at my computer, I enjoy exploring the latest noodle joints in Chinatown, hiking with my dogs, and training for my second half marathon. In 2021, I hope to cook my way through Ottolenghi’s “Simple” cookbook, and I also host a supper club called WHEN &WHERE.
